Overview
This tournament is open to summoners of any age in the North American region.
This tournament is the OPEN QUALIFIER leading into the main Proving Grounds Tier 2 tournament, "Summer Showdown". Please note that there is no cash prizing for this QUALIFIER.
The format for the Open Qualifier is a Best-of-1, single-elimination bracket.
Teams will be seeded by their team elo, which will be an average of each player's individual elo on the solo queue ladder.
Side selection will be determined by seeding - the higher seeded team in each matchup will get their choice at side selection. When registering, make sure you register your highest-elo summoner name for accurate seeding. This is also the account that you will use throughout the Open Qualifier.
The Top 8 finishers in this qualifier will be placed into the Summer Showdown group stage along with the top 8 finishers of the previous Proving Grounds tournament (Risen Champions League). The Open Qualifier will be played all the way through in order to determine seeding for the group stage of the main Summer Showdown tournament.
Summer Showdown dates are as follows:

The Open Qualifier and Summer Showdown are both being played on the LIVE North American server.
Please join the official Discord server for fastest communication with tournament admins and broadcast team, opponents, and casting talent. Tournament Schedule
The tournament start time is as follows:

Subsequent rounds are allowed to start once the previous round is completed. Please wait until an admin verifies that your match is ready to begin before starting a match.
