If in doubt of whether an observer is validated one, please contact EGL staff using a match ticket.

    2.7.1 - Team Observers

Team Observers are allowed at all times. Both teams will be responsable with updating the side that a team observer can spectate when switching between attacking and defending in different maps.

    3.

    Reporting Results

    3.1 - Where to report

Captains and co-captains are the only players able to interact with the matches' reporting actions. They will find the chat section with the opponent team and the reporting and no-show buttons. They can find the matches through the Dashboard after clicking 'View Details' on the desired one.

Remember that players need to be logged in their EGL accounts to see all the actionable buttons.

    3.2 - Reporting results. Disputes and No-Shows

Captains and co-captains should only report a result when the whole match is finished. That means if, for example, a match is a best of 3 (BO3) maps there's no need to report every single map played, only the final result (i.e: 2-1.). An evidence should be attached to the reported result to ensure fast action from the administration team. Please read section 3.4 below for our Evidence Policy.

If an evidence is not attached, the result will be automatically processed after 10 minutes. This is the time that the opponent team has to dispute the result in case the original one is wrong.

Both teams should report their result to ensure the best tournament experience for all participating teams, even in the case of a loss.

    3.2.1 - Disputes and No-Shows

If a team reports a score that is wrong, the opponent team will have a 10-minute window to dispute the match by introducing the correct result, ideally with evidece attached.

If after 10 minutes of the start of the round a team is not showing signs of being present, the opponent team may ask for a no-show using the correct button in the Match page. The missing team has 5 minutes to dispute this situation and prove that they are ready to play. If after that time a dispute is not set in place, the missing team will be forfeited from the match.

    3.3 - Forfeits

Reasons to ask for a forfeit for the opponent teams include but are not limited to the following situations:

  • Leaving or ending a match prior to it's completion and then failing to provide valid proof of the accusation against the opposing team.
  • Deliberately hosting a match with the incorrect match settings.
  • Delaying a match by more than five (5) minutes in between maps.
  • Exploiting and making use of known bugs withing the game.
  • Providing fake evidence in order to win a match.
  • 3.3.1 - Cheating

We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. Players caught cheating, glitching or abusing in-game mechanics in any way will be permanently banned from the EGL site and all future competitions.

    3.3.2 - Abusive behaviour

Abusive behaviour towards staff members or other players will not be tolerated. The individual user and/or team violating this rule will be subject to a site-wide ban.

    3.4 - Evidence policy

When asked to provide evidence, all video and photographic evidence must clearly show the match score, time, players in the lobby and, if necessary, evidence of the rule violation of the opposing player and/or team.

Evidence that does not meet the above criteria or will not be considered. Evidence that has been faked or tampered with in any way will not be accepted as valid. Anyone found to be providing fake proof will be permanently banned from competing on the website ever again.

Using the reporting system of the site is the best way to upload any media for admins to view. If this is not possible, third party websites such as YouTube for video and Imgur for images can be used.

    4.

    Rosters

    4.1 - Players per team

The minimum amount of players required to participate per team is 3. The maximum amount of players is 5. Note section 5.2 below for prizing rights among players of the same team.

    4.2 - Roster Lock

Player IDs are stored when you sign up for a tournament, meaning that any changes made to a player's ID after they register for a tournament will not be automatically updated on the roster. To avoid this, change your username before registering for a tournament or if you have already registered, leave the tournament, change your Player ID so that it is up to date and correct and then re-join the tournament.

    4.3 - Player IDs

Players are required to connect their Divine Knockout accounts to their EGL profiles. They can do so in the settings, under Game & Social Accounts. Players cannot change their connected account during the tournament.

    4.4 - Substitutes

Teams can sub in players in between rounds of the tournament and also in between maps of the same match. They need to notify the opponent team prior to doing so and the subbed player must be part of the selected roster when joining the tournament. Valid players will aways appear within the match.

    5.
