How To Compete

Losers Bracket Best of 1 (Total Kills)
Grand Finals Best of 3 (Per Map Win)

If coming from the Losers Bracket for the Grand Final, you will need to win 2 Best of 3's to win the tournament

Cross-Platform

This tournament is cross-platform meaning that PC, PS4 & Xbox One players are all permitted to compete. Both Controller and Keyboard/Mouse are permitted also.

Game Session Setup

Either of the players can set up the match as the game is played on dedicated servers. The host must select Warzone - BR Duos and change "Squad Fill" to "Don't Fill". Once this is done the hosting player will then invite their opponent to the game session and start matchmaking.

How To Win

The team with the most kills at the end of the game session (all matches) will be awarded the win. If there is a tie in kills, then the team that had the most overall damage wins. In the event that total damage is also a Tie the Player which survived the longest will be declared the Winner. Once the game has finished and all players are dead or the game was won you can get match evidence by going back to the lobby and selecting Match Summary - Scoreboard. Each team should take a screenshot or picture to show who won, example:

Jailbreak

If you and your teammate are dead (after gulag) and a Jailbreak occurs, you will be required to immediately down yourselves by hitting the ground from the respawn. (Floating with your parachute is forbidden). If you are fully dead (after gulag) and your teammate is alive, you are allowed to use the Jailbreak. If both team members are dead and attempt to get kills after a Jailbreak, the team will be forfeited. If the opposing team uses the Jailbreak (when not allowed), you will be required to take video evidence and send to our Customer Support team.

Sabotage

Players will join a Battle Royale match with their opponent. The players that have queued up together are NOT ALLOWED to contribute/cause the death of the player they're competing against within that game.
Players caught doing so will be disqualified from their match.

Examples of sabotage include but are not limited to:

  • Causing opponents to miss shots or miss opportunities for advancing their scores in any way shape or form.
  • Whilst in a vehicle, you are not allowed to run into your opponent.
  • Excessively pinging locations, items, enemies etc to distract the opponent.

Examples of NONE sabotage include but are not limited to:

  • Kill stealing is NOT a form of sabotage.
  • Loot stealing is NOT a form of sabotage.
  • Following your opponents is NOT a form of sabotage.
  • Re-spawning or reviving your teammate/opponent is NOT a form of sabotage.
  • Not re-spawning or reviving your teammate/opponent is NOT a form of sabotage.

Any claims of this happening must be submitted in video form and show all players usernames involved in the incident. Proof must be submitted either in the match dispute or through a ticket on the website. We will not accept screenshots in this case.

Matches

Server Issues

In the event of server issues arising, tournaments may be postponed or cancelled depending on the severity of the issue.

If the tournament is cancelled it will be announced on the EGL_Europe twitter page and EGL - Global Discord channel. The tournament title will also be adjusted to reflect this outcome.

Incorrect Match Settings

It is the hosting player’s responsibility to ensure that the match settings are as outlined above in the Match Settings. If you notice that the host has the incorrect match settings, please record video proof of what is wrong, ensuring that the scores, time, incorrect rules and/or the players in the lobby are clearly visible (depending on the accusation) and then immediately report this to the admin.

In the instance that the hosting player has the correct match settings and you leave the game before it is completed, the player that did not leave will receive the win for that match.

Forfeits

In order for a player to forfeit, the opposing player must leave the match as soon as they have gathered evidence of the opposing player violating the tournament rules.

Players will forfeit a round for the following reasons:

  • Leaving a match prior to it's completion and then failing to provide valid proof of the accusation against the opposing player.
  • Hosting a match with the incorrect Match Settings shown above.
  • Delaying a match by more than fifteen (15) minutes since receiving the match fixtures for that round.
  • The use of Jailbreak when the player is fully dead (after the use of Gulag)

Player Disconnections - Proof Required

If a player disconnects during the initial launch of a map, the map will be restarted from scratch. The initial launch is defined as the time before ANY points are scored by either player within the current match.

If a player disconnects after any kills have been made by either player, the team with disconnection issues (hardware or internet) has to follow the following rule:

If the team with the higher kill count has the disconnection due to hardware or internet, the match will be reset to 0-0. If the team with the lower kill count has the disconnection due to hardware or internet, both teams will move onto Map 2 taking the kill-count from Map 1.

If a player disconnects due to an in-game error, the match is to be restarted with the kills carried into the new map.

If both players disagree over when the player disconnection took place, video proof must be provided that shows the scores and time at which the disconnection took place, as well as the players in the lobby.

Player Internet - Proof Required

If a player is experiencing internet issues i.e 'lagging' in game the following rules will apply:

If the player who is experiencing internet issues discovers this issue before entering the plane (pre-lobby game), they are required to inform their opponent and leave the game.

If the player who is experiencing internet issues discovers this issue when entering the plane (into the lobby), they are required to inform their opponent right away. You will be allowed to reset on the grounds that no kills and no gulag attempts have been made.

Hosting

Hosting

As this is a Battle Royale game played on dedicated servers, we don't formally distinguish between hosts for this tournament. Both players should take the initiative to invite and/or message the other players about the game setup. Failure to do so can result in a forfeit.

Reporting

Match Result

Both players are responsible for reporting the result of a match. This can be done by clicking on the match fixture link found on the Match Fixture page.

Tournament brackets will be updated automatically once both players have reported the match.

In the instance that only one player reports the match result, the result will automatically be confirmed after ten (10) minutes. Please do not contact support in this time as you will cancel the timer.

Disputed Result

In the instance that both players report conflicting results, the match will be placed into dispute and will be handled by a member of staff.

Evidence

In the event of a dispute, the player that has disputed will be asked to provide proof of their accusation. Please see the Evidence Policy section below to find out what evidence is required.

If the disputing player is unable to provide valid evidence for the reason that they disputed, then the player will be removed from the tournament and will also receive a suspension due to disputing without valid reason/proof.

No Shows

No Shows

A player has fifteen (15) minutes to show up and be ready to start the match. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.

To report a no-show, please click on the 'Opponent No Show' button on the Match Fixture page.

No Show Proof

If you have reported a no-show and the opposing player has disputed, you must provide video evidence that you have invited all players to play prior to the fifteen (15) minute no-show deadline. Failure to do will result in the no-show claim being voided and both players being made to play the round.

Cheating

We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. Players caught cheating, glitching or abusing in-game mechanics in any way will be permanently banned from the EGL site and all future competitions.

Evidence Policy

We strongly recommend that you obtain photo or video evidence showing the outcome of every match.

Evidence that does not meet the above criteria will not be considered.
