Frequently Asked Questions

What is the tournament format?

EGL Open Series weekly tournaments will be 4v4, Single Elimination on Escalation. Each round will be played as a Best of 1 until the Semi Finals and Finals which will be a Best of 3.

How does seeding work?

In order to be seeded, teams must register for the tournament prior to the seeding cut-off time specified in the tournament rules. Any team registering after this time will be allocated a random seed.

How do I claim my prize?

We will email users regarding prizing after the tournament has ended, once we have acquired your payment details the prize payments will be paid as soon as possible.

Can I have a substitute player on the day of the tournament?

No. The team members that are registered on the roster to play within the tournament must be the users that are playing in the tournament.

If I leave my team to play with another team do I keep my EGL RP?

Yes you will. Points are attached to each individual player, so if you leave a team or join a new one your EGL RP will carry over to that new team.

Can I play on PC with my teammates or opponents who play on Xbox?

Yes, if you choose to play on PC you will need to stream your game, to Twitch or YouTube, and show your settings before the game loads into the game. A stream link should be placed in the match comments for EGL admins to check.
