Epic Games has now officially confirmed that the next season of Fortnite will see the original Chapter 2 map return

Epic Games has now officially confirmed that the next season of Fortnite will see the original Chapter 2 map return as part of a special season known as Remix Chapter 2. After sharing a new teaser trailer for the upcoming season over the weekend, Fortnite fans were left concerned after noticing that the clips were still using the Chapter 5 map, but Epic has now reassured players that the iconic island from 2019 will be making its return.

Back in 2023, Epic Games released Fortnite OG, a one-month season that saw players return to the game's original map from Chapter 1, along with classic weapons, vehicles, items, and more. The special season was a massive success for Fortnite, bringing in almost 45 million players with over 102 million hours played in just one day, making it the biggest Battle Royale season to date. Now it looks like the studio is aiming to replicate that success again, as Epic has confirmed that a new mini-season is on the horizon, with the Chapter 2 map set to take the spotlight.

Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 – Release Date

The expected launch date for Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 is Saturday, November 2 at 11am GMT / 7am EDT / 4am PDT. This estimate comes from the Chapter 5 Season 4 end date, confirmed for Saturday, November 2 at 6am GMT / 2am EDT and 11pm PDT on Friday, November 1, as stated on the Fortnite Battle Pass page. The last season-to-season downtime lasted five hours, and the same is expected for this update due to its scale.

Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 – New Skins

A promotional pack sent to influencers confirmed the existence of Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 and revealed that new skins would feature a fresh approach that combines elements from popular characters. The lineup includes a unique collaboration between Midas and Meowscles. As more teaser trailers emerged, fans spotted additional skins, with @ShiinaBR sharing a breakdown of the skins shown on Fortnite’s official Twitter account so far:

  • Midas / Meowscles remix
  • Female variant of Guff
  • Female variant of Chaos Agent
  • Remix of 8-Ball
  • Remix of TNTina

These skins are expected to make up the Battle Pass for Fortnite Remix Chapter 2. Since the Fortnite OG Battle Pass was shorter than usual, featuring only four skins, this season's Battle Pass with five skins is slightly more generous, though still smaller than typical seasons.
